To Love Ru Darkness Manga Continuation
To Love-ru Darkness Manga Returns in 1-Shot in May
posted on by Rafael Antonio PinedaThe May issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine revealed on Thursday that Kentaro Yabuki and Saki Hasemi will publish a new one-shot manga for their To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness manga in the magazine's next issue on May 2. The one-shot will be a full-color manga, and the issue will also bundle a B5 clear file. The manga celebrates Yabuki's 20th anniversary as a professional artist.
The To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness manga ended in March 2017, although Shueisha published two bonus spinoff chapters in the May and June issues of Jump SQ. in the same year. Shueisha published 18 compiled book volumes for the manga. The manga is a sequel of the first To Love-Ru -Trouble- series, and it launched in Jump SQ. in 2010. Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing both manga in English.
To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness manga writer Hasemi commented in the manga's final volume that while any future developments haven't yet been decided, the 18th volume was "not the final chapter" of To Love-Ru.
Yabuki is currently drawing the manga adaptation of the DARLING in the FRANXX anime, which launched in Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website in January 2018.
Yabuki also wrote and drew the Black Cat manga, which inspired a television anime adaptation in 2005-2006. Viz Media released the original manga in English. He also drew the manga adaptation of Tomohiro Matsu's Mayoi Neko Overrun! light novel series, but the manga ceased publication suddenly in 2011.
